Research Interests

I’m passionate about involving farmers in the design and adaptation of irrigation technologies. My academic and professional journey has been deeply rooted in addressing water management challenges in agriculture, with a particular focus on localized irrigation technologies. My current research focuses on understanding the needs and challenges faced by farmers in the MENA region to identify innovative and techno-economically viable solutions. I am conducting a techno-economic analysis of integrated desalination and drip irrigation systems to address water scarcity and enhance agricultural sustainability for smallholders.
